Title: My 2012 agility won't start unless I give it gas then it dies

Not sure why it starts only giving it gas and then sputters out when I am coming to a stop then have to repaet the process. During riding.. It hesitates and sputtered like its out of gas but its not. Mechanic said the flap in the carb was worn out is that true? Or is he trying to rip me off.

Shop mechanics might be mistaken....but I wager darn few wake up in the morning and set out to rip someone off. % of dishonest mechanics and dishonest scooter riders....is probably about the same.
Now -- sounds like your carburetor might need a rebuild, or cleaning.
Are you equipped to do that?
