Title: X-Town 300i at Maggie's Diner
Post by: nm_ryder on June 03, 2019, 01:28:28 AM
Took a ride up to Madrid this afternoon and took this photo in front of Maggie's Diner from the movie Wild Hogs.  The ride is about 90 miles round-trip from my house and is the longest trip I've taken on the Scoot so far.  Got caught in an awesome rain/hail storm on the way home without an overpass for 10 miles. :o

Did Kymco make a 330 engine for that? guessing just a typo... :P

Sorry, fat (clumsy) fingers.  :(  I have corrected 330 to 300.
If they had put a 330 cc engine in it they probably would have called it a 350.  ;)

I just figured Spain had a cool new scooter.
No idea where Maggie's diner is.

Maggie's Diner was the setting for the 2007 movie Wild Hogs. (Starring John Travolta, Tim Allen, William H. Macy, and Martin Lawrence. Trailer here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486946/videoplayer/vi165610521?ref_=vp_pl_1 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486946/videoplayer/vi165610521?ref_=vp_pl_1))  The movie is a parody about 4 middle-age urban biker wannabe's that decide to do a cross-country road-trip but end up running a foul of a tough biker gang. Most of the scenes in Madrid center around Maggie's Diner.

The diner was built by Walt Disney specially for the movie in the former Ghost Town of Madrid New Mexico.  Today Madrid is an artist's colony and on the Turquoise Trail Scenic Byway, and a popular motorcycling destination.

It's supposed to be kinda cool for HD riders to have a picture of their bike in front of Maggie's.  My photo is kinda tongue-in-cheek.  8)
