Title: regulator/rectifier
Post by: jesseg010 on June 02, 2019, 10:36:53 PM
hello again everybody.
so im still trying with this kymco agility. i really do love it, the weight, the handling, the seats. but it has problems that i cannot diagnose. turning the key i hear what sounds like a horn shorting out coming from the front headlight. now it could simply be the horn but the bike will not turn over and all the gauges go up up up. the bike does not turn over and start. could it be a faulty regulator? i dont know thanks for the help.

Sounds like a nearly dead battery.

thanks Karl, can you confirm when charging the battery from another vehicle if i should turn the vehicle on or only attach the leads and leave the vehicle off?

a running car puts to much voltage out , it can harm the scooter electronics,   you need a battery charger to charge the battery,  you can take a boost from another scooter, or a boost from a car battery not a running car,
