Had old reliable just quit for two brief periods on the way to an event this morning. Stopped within two miles of leaving to check if spark plug cap had come loose (it had not) and saw the puke tube with quite a bit of dark fluid so dumped it. All this accomplished with bike on center stand and me reaching up. The puke tube had to be it because everything smooth and sweet the rest of the day! See another post to see where I went....

Yes I had my spark-plug cap come of a few times. Didn't know that little puke tube could do this! Good to know.

Reading your post made me wonder what state my Piaggio's puke tube was in. Didn't recall ever seeing it!
Well, those Italian scoot engineers must have been feeling a little passive-aggressive - I finally found the 2.5 inch puke tube after removing the foot peg, buried inside the body panels. And it looks full.
No way to get a hand on it - but will try removing underseat bucket.
Also, the airfilter is going to be fun to change. 2 of the 7 fasteners are also buried forward and under body panels. The two up front are "thumb screw" fasteners, new to me. One needs to get the hand in there to undue them with finger tips, not a tool!

Years ago I purchased a big box of spares (tubes and hardware) from a wrecked LIKE200i on ebay. Once again using things from that box of parts.....
Going to install this LIKE200i puke tube so it hangs down in easy reach!

Won't go into the details - but just spent a couple hours figuring out how to change the airfilter and add a long, drainable puke tube to my Piaggio. If it had been in the 90's today - would never have started this....
What an adventure. I have hands like an Easter Ham which was fun digging inside tight panels!
