Title: Anybody get there Bikes nocked over while parked?
Post by: Billtrout on May 25, 2019, 06:29:53 PM: I was at my local Quick check inside having a coffee and had someone knock the scooter over. She said he did NOT SEE IT. that cost me one Brake lever.

Happened to me too. Only it was a male driver (said he didn't see it). Nothing broke though.

I was out with my family today for a drive in our brand new truck when I pulled into a gas station for some diesel. The dumb female that was exiting was coming head on with me. She had her head in her phone looking down. I hit the horn and she freaked out and jumped!I was not nice about at all with her.

Unfortunately with our scoots, people just donâ€™t see them and/or just not paying attention.

Just when I though I would never have problem parking the scoot like this, one day the scooter suddenly started running backwards, and fell over.
To this day I still feel like crying. The scratches on the scooter still hurts.

Ouch! Nothing worse then it happening by your own hand. Sorry you had to experience that Scooterfan.

Post by: Stig / Major Tom on May 27, 2019, 11:02:12 AM: Always used the parking brakes on my bigger scooters. Make frequent use of rubber bands on my LIKE and Liberty. 15 mins ago used them front and rear for a photo in a hotel driveway.
Rubber bands carried on turn pod are one-hand operation.....slip one off, wrap it around front brake lever.

Once. I parked it in a motel parking lot and got a bus to
Reno from Auburn. It was over 100 degrees. The sides and
Sank through the asphalt. When I came back at the end of the day the bike was leaning like I'd never seen before.
The rear tire was off the ground by about 2 inches.
When I pulled it out of ground gravel came out with the sidestand. That was kinda crazy 😳
