So I bought the above listed machine a few days ago from a guy. It only came with 1 key, and no key ID tag. There is a number written inside of the owners manual "170413". Does that appear to be the key code? If not, does anyone know of a good source of a new ignition that comes with keys? It appears that a lot of places are sold out or they arent available. Thanks!

You have one working key, yes?
I did an ebay search for Kymco key blanks. Found one that looked like the one in my hand. Ordered it, took it to hardware store -- man cut me a new key from the original.

Yeah....saw those. They are $20 a piece! Holy Crap! How can they cut it with the black cap on the original key though?

Keep shopping !- got mine from Chinese seller much cheaper (for Forza, Burgman, Kymco, Kia, etc.) - sure they can cut it with the black cap on it (Chinese blank may NOT have a cap on it) My pro lock smith refused to cut it - local hardware store cut 'em for free!

From Kymco, there are 2 different blanks available, 1 right hand and 1 left hand cut. You need to know which one you have.
The Blanks are 15.95 each
A new Ignition set with keys is 49.95

Yes, absolutely - hold your key in your hand - compare to the seller's photo. Match it up. Easy.
