Title: Powering gloves with a 6Ah battery?

Not keen on operating a pair of 12V heated motorcycle gloves connected to my little 12V 6Ah battery in my Piaggio.
There are no, more powerful, batteries that will fit the small battery box in my Piaggio.

Talking riding on cold days here - so this does not seem like a good idea .
Concerned about my restart - miles from home.
Am I correct to be concerned?


Question #2:

I have a healthy spare 12V, 11.8Ah, 210/CCA YUASA battery which I could carry under the seat to power the gloves.
Would 3 hours of riding drain the battery on a cold day , or not?

On my motorcycle I installed a monitor light (Green= charging, red=discharging) mainly for when I'm using the electric jacket liner and heated grips.  When  the light turns red (like when idling at a traffic light) I'll turn off something.

Slap an ammeter on the gloves see what they draw. Divide amp-hours of your battery by the ammeter reading and you will have how long your gloves stay warm.

First find out output of alternator, then draw of gloves----this should give you idea if you are running battery down.
