Title: Sting 50?
Post by: glopezz05 on August 31, 2010, 02:55:17 PM
My LSS (local scooter shop) has Kymco Sting 50's in stock.

They say its a 2 stroke.

Anybdy have any info or experience with them?

Think that would be a good way to get a new 2 stroker and trick it out?

I'm not familiar with that one. If wanting to trick one out I'd get the people 50 2t or the s9 2t used. Me personaly I like the 16" tires better, but if planning a bbk. and all, might as well get a used one.      There is alot of info and parts out there allready for these two.

Not to my knowledge,it's a clone of the honda dio I believe, but the one I had breifly(zx super fever) did have the same cdi up front. The people is considered a horizontal and the zx a virtical, not sure what the people is based on.

Just another thought the stator for my people was a gy6 replacement The wiring was different and the timming pickup was off  but the rest was fine. just needed a couple tweeks.
