Title: shop manual 2019 Xtown 300i abs
Post by: john grinsel on January 09, 2019, 10:21:51 PM
I took delivery of a new blue 2019 Xtown 300i ABS about 6 weeks ago.

At the delivery time ordered spare drive belt and proper shop manual (Kymco).....knowledgeable and experienced parts man, from selling dealer.

Belt arrived from SC in a couple of days.

Manual not here yet---Kymco, like the Japanese makers, uses outside source (most in MI) for their shop manuals.  Follow up on my part, "hasn't been printed yet, working on it".

My point: that stuff should be figured out before bike goes on sale!  Official shop manuals are nice to have/use for reference/use.

My scooter has no problems---based on over 65 years of two wheel experience, for now I can keep it going......for now.

Maybe cyclepedia.com will come up with an English one before the passing of 22.5 months ?
I think a lot depends on demand.
I investigate parts availability and servicing issues (purchased serv. manuals for the next 3, pre-purchase) before buying all save for my 1st scooter. But did find that Asian markets were already enthusiastic owners with a big club for that one.(LIKE200I )
