I saw this the other day. Pretty awesome! Kymco's going to the top... I think they can really give Vespa a run for their money if they strengthen their People line... Adding fuel injection, monocoque frame, better colors, more accessories, and etc.

I just read a post over at Modern Vespa, a guy who owns two Vespas remarked that he was intrigued and was considering getting one. This sparked a conversation about the fact that that the Downtown is a true 300 CC bike and it has great power numbers. It was a good conversation and most were very supportive of the brand as a whole.
We seem to be seeing good press on this bike and it is one of few 2010/2011 genuinely new bikes/scooters actually making it to market in the US.

I doubt Kymco will be going to a monocoque frame on anything anytime soon, but all 2011 models are (I hear) to be fuel-injected.
