Title: Front cover electrical part - what is it?
Post by: dan v. on November 25, 2018, 03:04:10 PM
New to me B&W 250.  Changed out the coolant; of course you have to remove the front cover.  What is that tiny elec. part at the bottom of the cover?  Couldn't find anything in the Service Manual.

Sensor for the dash thermometer?

It's a tiny sensor or something in this rubber grommet:

I vote for temp sensor and to trade eamartin for a bent wastebasket! Har, har!

No idea what the grommet is, but the orange thing is definitely home made.

you're welcome

Figured it out.  It is a "room temp. sensor".  Kinda thought that is what it was, as the dash has a ambient temp display.  Doesn't appear to be accurate at all.  I guess that is why Kymco didn't have this on other models!
