Title: Xmas Tree DipStick !

I have some 2500 Xmas-light-string gutter clips very well concealed in my garage - so I was buying some more.

Guy in line in front of me at Lowe's yesterday had this long green plastic tube with a funnel thing at the top. It had a clear tube inside.

He said it was a 'dipstick' for checking, and adding to, the water level in your Xmas tree holder.
