Post by: rls on November 01, 2018, 11:34:26 PM
i have a 2015 kymco 450i uxv, bought new.   Intermittently when gas pedal is depressed seems like no power getting to drive to propel forwards.  the rmps stay up but seems like no power.  any help would be greatly appreciated

If you bought it new it surely has a warranty; why not take it back to the dealer?

Sounds like the clutch or belt are slipping.

what would you experienced mechanics check first the drive belt, clutch or rear propeller shaft?  no movement forwards or in reverse now.

Mind you, I'm extrapolating from scooters:

I would open up the CVT. Check for obvious contamination (such as oil). Check the belt condition. The inspect the clutch.

Is it still in warranty?

Not under warranty.    There is water in the CVT cover.
