Title: Local history
Post by: big blue on October 24, 2018, 09:29:06 PM
This is the Willamette Heritage Center and Mission Mill in Salem. It is the oldest still operating cotton mill west of the Mississippi. The museum operates the old water-powered mill as an educational center. It was once part of the Pendleton Woolen Mills company.

You need to ride your Like to McMinville to the Evergreen Aviation museum with the Spruce Goose inside! Also the WWII blimp hangar at Tillamook. Gas up and get going! Take pictures and make sure you include one shot with the Like so Stig won't explode! Har, har!

Oh yeah I have been to both; the old blimp base in Tillamook especially is a treasure. They have a fully operational PBY Catalina in the blue/gray Navy colors. That is my absolute favorite WWII era aircraft!

Again, very nice scooter - fabulous color.
Coffee any good in that joint behind the scoot?
