Title: Drive belt
Post by: jimbos on October 05, 2018, 06:21:52 PM: Has anybody had trouble with day off replacement belts.have put two in thousand miles after originalwas glazed after getting wet.dayco strips out,I do not drive hard put Kymco on this time.had over 2500miles on original.

Dayco makes/sells/distributes the crummiest belts. Makes no difference what type.

Post by: airshot on October 07, 2018, 04:39:27 PM: In my years of experience with cvt belts, the factory belt has always given the best life. Like anything you can get a bad one, but factory is normally best. Mine has been rode hard, not abused but 800 miles and still strong

That is amazing, most go around 2000 then consider replacing

Geeez and to think I just took a 100 mile trip one way to Lancaster and back with my lady on the back. It didnâ€™t want to past 49 mph lol so Iâ€™m starting to look into clutch and belt replacements. It has been jittering too at take off. But I throttle my baby, she likes it rough [emoji23]ðŸ¤ŸðŸ¼

Post by: mstparker on October 21, 2018, 02:44:07 PM: I donâ€™t drive a lot of miles but a lot of it is steep grades. My dealers technician told me to go in low 4wd to help the belt not wear.
