Title: Tips about top Speed, Rollers & Sliders
Post by: fabiopasche on September 25, 2018, 12:32:04 PM
Good Morning.

Sorry my english I'm using google translator

I do not understand much of the bike, and I would like to know what I should change within the CVT in order to get a higher final speed ...

The bike is perfect for me. However it does only 23km / l

I read about changing the rollers to the 14G and changing the sliders, but I do not know the extent of that piece.

Rollers I bought on Aliexpress that a website, thankfully makes deliveries in Brazil.

I need to know how the slides look for the outside world.

23 km/l is about 54 m/gallon which is pretty low I agree. What are the octane numbers for your fuel?

Your English is fine! Google translator is working well!

Gasoline in Brazil is not pure. As stupid as it may seem, here we have 750ml of gasoline every 1 liter.
25% of the total are solvents, detergents and alcohol (ethanol) that prevents sugar cane.    :-\

The fuel I use has 87 octane  :-X

There is your problem! 25% non-gasoline will ruin any milage and power results. I do not know how to fix that.

Will octain booster help?

I personally doubt it because ethanol (a form of alcohol) has an octane rating higher than most gasoline. 115 octane rating , I think. But has way less BTU content per pound and that is what makes for poor mileage. Octane booster would just make it worse.
I have schemed and thought about adding kerosene or diesel to boost the BTU of ethanol gas but been too chicken to try it. Cannot seem to find the math to verify the idea. I think a physical test is the only way. I know! Let's use YOUR bike for the test!

I do not dare to add anything to gasoline to get better numbers ..

I'm too scared to damage the motorcycle

Sounded clever, but I found this:

In any case, best not to put any more lead into the environment, especially unnecessarily.

Regarding the rollers, they'll improve acceleration but probably won't give you any more speed.

I understood your words, but I did not understand what they mean .. All the gasoline in my country has the same mix.

Not like I read about that gasoline aviation

I found 17G rollers, would that work?

What ?
