Discovered that Piaggio has recognized the glare-back issue on their Liberty 150i screens.
The fly screen, like mine, came with no edging surrounding the headlight - but I found some stuff that works 60%.

I see why the counter parts guy said I could not buy this edging for my fly screen. Looks painted inside the screen.

I dislike tall screens - so will work on this - this winter.

Not a fan of big screens myself.  That's what I dislike about the new Kymco 150i People
