Title: Scarlett needs a new Spark Plug

Can you access the spark plug by removing the seat pan?  Or do you need more plastic removed?

Does this manual give detailed instructions for removing and replacing all the plastic?  Sounds like a good deal if it does.

I have the manual and it gives a 'general' idea of how to remove the plastics...you still have to play around with everything. I can't find the online tutorial I originally used to get to my spark plug but I found this, which has a description and pictures of the process of how to get the plastic tub off....and what else has to come off to get to it.

the first time I did this it took a long time...now I can probably be at my spark plug in about 10-15 mins...maybe faster if everything goes smoothly...

Cleanerman - I should have added a few more things...first, great little scooter, I've had mine for almost 3 years...and I also own a motorcycle and ride the bike probably 90% of the time but when I do ride the scooter I remember why I love it...so comfortable and easy to ride.

To get to the plug you will need to remove the seat and bucket, that's easy 5 bolts and unplug the lighter socket..then you need to also remove the luggage rack, rear fender, and battery cover. remove 1 screw from the plastics on each side under the pass footpegs and then you're free to ''unsnap' the tub from the floor plastic...3 tabs on each side right around the pass footpegs? The tutorial I linked to does a good job showing this with pictures.

First time you do it will take a while...subsequent times will all go much faster.

Also a good time to do a valve check/adjust while you're in there.
Very easy to do, takes less time than taking off the plastic.

happy to help! as Tromper said, good time to do your valve clearance check, too. .004" clearance for both intake and exhaust and you can more than likely reuse your valve cover gasket. I bought a new one and didn't need to use it..the existing gasket feels like epdm rubber and it will probably be in perfect shape.
