My new, to me, scooter is a red 2009 People s200 with 8,000 miles.  I have some questions and will try to ask each one separately in different posts so I don't get confused.

I'm going to put new tires on it and the rear looks like it will take some work to get to.  Does she need to be totally "undressed" to remove the rear wheel?

No. Right shock, brake, little hugger fender (if still there), and right "fork leg" meaning that cast plate between rear of engine and axle. Just tie up the brake caliper or set it on something so it does not strain the braided hose.

Thanks CROSSBOLT, but mine has a drum brake.  Do you take the right shock loose at the bottom?

"Oops!" on the brake! Start at the bottom to see if it clears. Remove if the wheel is blocked by it.

I wish it were this easy...plastic tub has to come off to get to right rear shock bolt...exhaust comes off, the metal brace between engine and axle comes off, hugger comes off...not a terribly complicated job, but it will take a while.

Do yourself a favor and do your sparkplug at the same time (see you post on changing the spark plug). Good luck.
