The main street in my coffee village is a busy state route. Semis, construction trucks, cars a bunch.
55mph leading into town. 25mph in town.
NEVER seen anyone nailed for speeding through town - so most do.
BUT, if you even look like you want to cross on foot - the custom is for everyone to stop!
As for the speeders...I can only assume police have been warned not to give the village a "speed trap" reputation.
Curious.

Yeah, I'm siiting on the side walk, with my scooter and a cup of joe as I wrote the above.

I hope that your town doesn't get to be known as a "Death trap".
Careful crossing that street!
I've seen some of those semis have big crash bars up front...good for smacking into scooterist with their mocha skinny late frape cinnamon with a sweetener cup of joe!
