Title: Should I need to put medium strength threadlocker adhesive

Should I need to put medium strength threadlocker adhesive when changing the brake pads?
 it it recommended?

Loctite blue should do it.

Do not use Red Loctite.
I had a hell acious experience with it.

Red is strong. I think it is Studloc!

I have changed about 6 sets of front pads, never used any threadlock on that locator pin.

Are we supposed to use it as good mechanical etiquette?

I use a thread lock whenever I see it on a part that was tightened at the factory. If I don't see evidence of it from the manufacturer then I don't apply any.

Is that the goo that is used to keep pads from squealing?

As stig has stated, I look for evidence of factory applied blue thread locker. It is a safer bet to use some on brake bolts, but it is harder to remove the bolts later. Make sure to use a 6 point socket the next time you service your brakes. This way you stand a better chance of not rounding out your bolts!

I usually use "Neverseize" in the back and sliding parts of the brake pads. It consists of aluminium powder and oil. I would like to use something better if it exists.  I will look up this copper grease...thanks ModChip.

Greasing the back of the pads reduces noise,  but it's the sliding pins inside the caliper that are the most important.
