Please tell the longest ride you took on two wheels, and please post a picture of the motorcycle or scooter! (google a brochure pix if necessary)
I received my orders for Vietnam, put my wife on the Santa Fe Chief with our luggage, then I rode from San Antonio TX, to Topeka KS on my new 1968 HONDA CB350 - 760+ miles.

Stayed off the interstates. Took two days. Chain guard vibrated off somewhere in Oklahoma.....huge crosswinds.
Took my time and savored every mile - being not too optimistic about my future as a medic in 'Nam.
Great ride! Bike seats should all be like this!
Your ride?

I ran a cannonball, I guess that qualifies.
Longest single day is ~600 miles banging around the passes in WA on my B650's predecessor.

Years ago I rode from Maine to Sturgis and back on my 1500 Vulcan. 5217 miles in two weeks. Rode among buffalos in South Dakota, slept in a houseboat in the middle of a Nebraska cornfield, and had many more adventures along the way. Longest day was 640 miles across the Prairie. The Vulcan ran flawlessly, as per usual. I'll never forget that trip...

Many moons ago, the wife and I, on my Kawasaki Z400 started our honeymoon in Scotland, to the boat to Northern Ireland, crossed over the border to Eire, to the boat back across the water to Wales and headed back up through England on the way home.
Dunno what the miles were - there were many day trips out in all 4 countries over the 2 week trip. Great fun though.

Well, that is too cool a ride to not help with pix here. 1100 miles on a 305 2 stroke!
Which color - saw a red, black and this blue?
Also, Karl did that ride make you a life-long Yamaha Man? (I'm a Honda guy after my first rides were all Hondas!)
Was the 305 about the largest Yamaha went with a 2-stroke? (that crazy lethal Mach-3 Kawasaki was a 2-stroke, yes? Love this quote about that bike, "handling decidedly marginal in every situation - except when the bike was stopped with the engine switched off." ! :)(https://s15.postimg.cc/hf8vv5823/000yamaha.jpg)

See the above pics posted by gnzbrg. The red bike next to the buffalos? That's my year 2000 Vulcan 1500i, or at least it started off as one, got about five grand worth of "mods" on her. Original owner, still got it. Met my wife on that bike...
