i just bought this device
https://www.ebay.com/itm/GPS-Vehicle-tracker-GPS303B-TK303B-LBS-GPS-location-geo-fence-No-Original-Box/281749788669 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/GPS-Vehicle-tracker-GPS303B-TK303B-LBS-GPS-location-geo-fence-No-Original-Box/281749788669)
where should i hide it?
in the front headlight unit or in the back under the seat near the battery?

Front. There is that skinny wire that goes to the 12v outlet in the "glove box" that could be used for the ACC lead and there is the access to 12v always hot at the ignition switch. I missed seeing any current drain on that fused 12v lead.

then to access the gps i need to take apart all the front.

Taking the front apart is seven screws undone and three connectors unclipped, not a big deal. Since owning my troublesome Xciting, I have done it so many times, it takes me roughly 30 seconds :) But given this, at least you can rest assured, that unless the nicking bastards brake the bike to parts immediately you stand a good chance of them not finding the tracker and throwing it into the nearest bin.
Besides, if it is in the front cowl, the antenna is shielded only by a thin layer of plastic, rather than plastics, the seat, probably interference from the battery or other electrical equipment

What Gab said! Yes, you would have to remove the front even if you just wanted to put it in that glove box. UNLESS you plugged it into that outlet everytime you parked the bike. What about one of those 'Tiles' and a phone app they were peddling recently? I think the Tile is always on and you replace the battery once a year.

I was assuming the point was to find it again in case of theft? In which case I would think it'd be better to put it somewhere less accessible.
Why would you want to be able to casually remove it?
I think even if they found the unit, the tracking information would still have already been uploaded. Assuming they stay within range of the GSM network.
