Title: Rebuild of a gy6 50

I rebuild the top end of my 50 cc scoot 4 stroke gy6 .after first oil change. I found a lot of extra metal shaveings in the oil is this normal because of factory parts.

I wouldn't worry - clean the oil screen and change the oil and power on.

A few shavings in the oil after motor work is fairly common. But, they should be very small particles. If there are larger pieces or they are there next oil change you may have a problem.

Ok guys thanks...ya every looks good.Did a lot of rideong the last few days.Did oil change.And all is clear.

Brilliant. If it's not leaking oil, just keep up with the oil changes and a 50cc GY6 is good for about 30,000 miles :)
