Title: 2009 kymko sento 50 - bogging issues after cutting cdi - please help!
Post by: brycenukem on April 15, 2018, 07:23:12 PM
hi guys,

i need some serious help here. i cut my cdi in hopes it would derestrict it but now i cant go over 35km/h and it is not a smooth ride at all now.

i cleaned my jets, my carb, changed spark plug, cleaned air filter, and put premium gas in but it still runs horrible. i cut my cdi fairly deep but it starts still so why would it run like this. i tried to adjust my variator (or boss) but it has no washer. i dont think its an exhaust issue but have tried everything and dont know what to do.

if anyone can help itd be so appreciated!

thank you. ill post pics if requested

+1 on pix.
Also, to clarify >> you cut CDI and this lowered your top speed and made engine run rough?

First step I'd take is to replace CDI, and see if that gets me back the previous top speed and smooth running engine.

Ha! You sure did chop up your CDI!  The good news is that they're cheap, so just buy an unrestricted one on eBay and press on:-) Remember: it's a "DC" CDI, not an AC. Don't modify anything else until you've got it running again.
