Title: Morning all
Post by: milly on April 11, 2018, 12:29:32 PM
A quick hello from Wales. I have just got a Super 8 125cc with 64,157.2 kilometers on the clock. I did have to do a double check incase it was six thousand and four hundred.

Welcome milly,
64K !
A small question......did you ride it home? Or....?
How much does a 125cc with that many klicks go for in your neck of the woods?
Will you be doing the servicing?
Pictures please.
Regards, Stig

Hi!

We're not that far apart. I'm on the Stafforshire/Cheshire border.

There will be plenty of miles left in that :)

Hi got it for £200 with 6 month's mot and main and dip not working bypass the wires from the cdi all good now and had an odd ball non start all dead electrical problem but started by kick. As riding home all came back on. Next morning checked the 3 fuses and changed an iffy one, then changed gearbox and engine oil. Gear box oil was very emulsified, obviously not done in a while. Not bad nick for a 2008 model. Rear shocks a bit crusty but working. Will get round to changing them maybe at some point. Front fork seals also bit leaky but work ok. Pictures soon

Not to far away from Ceredigion then. I am impressed don't normally see such high mileage on Taiwan or Chinese thing's before than have been killed through abuse or neglect. I got a small 50cc thing of 2005 vintage and only 4000k on it and that's heading off road when mot runs out. I just gave my 11year old granddaughter 15 mins tuition and she is doing wonders on it. But not the 125 yet till she can ride the 50 proficiently.

I have a feeling we have another bike group in common. Are you on Bimblers?
