I'm careful to ride within my headlight at night. Sure, we all do that.
Yesterday I reminded myself of the need to ride within my vision in the daylight, as well.
Riding at 45mph or so on a nicely flowing country 2 lane. Absolutely barren of traffic, in both directions, most days.
" No reason to be cresting these hills at this speed."
Farm lanes, deer, dogs, raccoons. Slow down --- "ride within your vision!"
I vividly remember the video of a red Kymco cresting a hill at speed...only to see a car at the end of a driveway to his right.
The video was all grass and gravel after that.
Not riding within his vision.
