Title: Actual weight of DT 300

According to the numerous reviews of the DT the weight is listed as 367 pounds, which is similar to my Grand Vista 250, yet the DT seems heavier, so I went to the service manual and sure enough, the DT's weight is 189 kg, or 416 pounds, almost 40 pounds heavier!

my downtown 300i Wt.  414 lb.   by my scales, full tank gas,  no tools,  no top case,

I was gonna say feels like 400 pounds but De dee got the right approach and numbers.

Hi,

I guess one could try a lighter muffler in order to reduce the weight, any other recommendations?

I piled more junk on my DT. No tellin what it weights after I git my fat bottom on there, oh, well, It's only rock and roll but I like it, like it, yes I do.......
