dt 300 2014.
second-hand
The bulb was burnt, so I changed it, it did not help.
I checked the seat switch, it's OK.
Is there a fuse for the lighting under the seat?
I hope there is no problem of wiring
I would be happy for anyone who could advise!

What type of bulb did you remove? The original bulb is a 0.5W white LED. An ordinary T10 wedge bulb will burn out the wires. You might need to check with a multimeter that there is actually 12V power coming out of the bulb socket. The solder connections to the socket (hidden inside the rubber boot) are weak and may be broken.

When I bought the scooter there was a LED bulb.
when i chack the bulb socket with a multimeter 12V power is not coming out of the bulb socket.
and not even in the connector that is connecting to the bulb socket wire.
also i have never seen met in light.
when dose it turn on?
-
the switch for the light is the seat lock , when you open the seat the light turns on, you may have a burnt fuse , or the seat latch switch is bad, about 6 inches from the latch there is a connector plug you can check for power there, with a meter,.
-
You might want to check just out side the tub, where there is a wire connector that may be unplugged . That light sits so low in the tub that it 's useless. I know disconnected mine.

i checked the switch and is is ok.
when i open the seat the met in light isn't on.
when i open the key switch, and the scoot is doing a light test, the metin light is not turning on.
their isn't a conector that is disconnecting. only endear the fuel tank.
the scoot is a second hand whit only 15000KM.

I WOULD NOT BE SURPRIZED that the first owner did cut the wire for the metin light, and not tell you, because if the seat does not close tight it runs the battery down to death., I disconnected mine the first year , never used it again

and what is the recommended gear oil?
tnx!

your car oil is very good, same as mine
-
Car oil is fine. I use Castrol 80W-90 for gear oil.
-
in the DT300 service manual-
the recommended gear oil is SAE 90 is it ok to use 80W-90?
-
SAE90 and 80W-90 are very similar and interchangeable.

IMO, forget the seat light, as previously mentioned its useless.
Here's what I did.
Go to Walmart and get some cheap, mostly white contact paper and stick that on the inside of the seat.
Now you can see whats in the seat, nothing worse than black/dark on black/dark background. And that little headlamp that you carry under the seat for emergencies will light up your world , er , seat.
-
Why bother with it? I can't think of a more useless item then that light.
