In my area riders can often find other riders by posting a note at the local dealers of that make/model.
Would bet a donut that there are LIKE riders in your local groups.

 I have seen pictures of some Likes in the L.A. Scooter group site. I have also seen a couple when they ride to the meeting place for the swerve n curve. That group tends to have longer, faster rides. I am further South than that. I ride with the Long Beach scooter group. Try a search of the meet up scooter groups. There may be some Info.
