Title: Kymco Super 8 A9 Camshaft problem
Post by: renzowen on December 13, 2017, 03:15:42 PM
Hello,

I replaced my original camshaft with an A9 camshaft but now its lacking power and it wont even take off. It will rev up a bit but it bogs down i guess. I have a video with the problem. Can someone please help me. Do i need to buy other valves?

Im pretty sure the timing is correct but maybe its a defect camshaft.

Either out of time, wrong valve clearance, incompatible physical arrangement (intake-exhaust on opposite sides) or another problem cropped up in the process of exchanging cams. Or, as usual, something I never considered!

Thanks for replying. At first I installed my cam 180 degrees off..... Got it be that it bent my valves cuz it was making an awful ticking noise. So maybe I just have to order new valves and springs too.
