Maybe the fastest car in the world got it's first shake down run yesterday. Only 200mph, but with ambitions to hit 1000mph.

So what? Well it reminded me car owner Richard Noble's first success in Thrust 2 followed on 20 years ago by a trip across to the Nevada desert - this time with a new car, Thrust SSC, driven by former RAF pilot, Andy Green. On this occasion, it was the sound barrier that was the target......BOOM..BOOM!
