Another sort of short bike ride yesterday down the coast with a few photos including a container ship entering the Port. Some photos of the Japanese Fishing Village Memorial on Terminal Island in the Port of Los Angeles. It's no longer there due to the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII.

Dunno I don't pay much attention to the goings on. I'd imagine others would snap up parts of their business.

This area I had a feeling was abandoned from the war days.

Possibly... Still a lot of dated infrastructure, well, almost everywhere !
I've watched youtube videos on huge port expansions in Singapore and Shenzhen... they are amazing !
I am forced to admit their productivity is beyond my comprehension, though I do try to grasp it's scope.
