Title: Scooterless: After a long decision I traded-in my Kymco Like
Post by: TroutBum on June 13, 2017, 06:04:26 PM
For the last 5 years I have enjoyed riding all 14,400 miles on my Like 200i. It was a blast. But little by little the lack of power was becoming a factor at times. I was all set to buy either a Vespa GTS or Piaggio BV350 when the urge for a motorcycle came upon me. In the end I went with the Harley 1200C as it fits my needs. I know someday I won't be able to throw my leg over the bike to ride and will be back on a scooter. Below is a picture of my new bike.

Well heck Trout.....
You are going to be missed here old friend !

Don't know any HD riders - but I doubt any of them second-guessed themselves after bringing home one of those babies.

I'm going to be picturing Bronson singing in his helmet and cruising the California badlands - with a big grin on his mug.
Please DO pop back with rider/owner/road reports when you get the chance!

We had a saying: "You owe it to yourself, man."

Only two accessories needed - the bedroll on the bars (w/cheese sandwiches) and a Navy watch cap for walking around times.
Best regards, Stig

PS: could we get a youtube soundtrack of it at idle?

Cheese sandwiches could be OK in a pinch but you won't need to start smoking, will you ?

lol you guys and thanks for the compliments. I don't plan to go anywhere. I'll be around. Just cause I have a MC doesn't mean I have written off scooters. We all know they are a hoot to ride. Besides where else can I go online and find a bunch of misfits like you all?  ;)

You just have to be the first 163cc LIKE200i owner to move up to a 1200cc HD!

Right on Trout Bum. It is about the joy of the ride. I understand you want more power. We are a bunch
of misfits on this forum. We all love busting your balls. If we didn't, we would not be showing our
love for you my scooter brother. Now go ride like the wind.

Riding a Fatboy hard across America doesn't really appeal to me.

Congrats on the new ride. Was wandering around today and saw a couple of interesting things.

A Harley 1200 Custom.
