Post by: karencox on April 29, 2017, 08:44:47 PM
i HAVE A 2009 sTING THAT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE.  IT HAS 26 ORIGINAL MILES.  THE SCOOTER WAS JUST FULLY SERVICED AND RUNS GREAT.  NICE ROSE COLOR.

ANY IDEAS ON WHAT THIS STING MIGHT SELL FOR?

I had not heard of it. I looked it up on Kymco USA. Based on comparable 50 cc Kymcos of that year I'd guess $1,250 maybe a little more?

Hello,
Welcome.
What did the recent full service consist of?
Can you post a photo of the work order, to include letterhead of the shop which completed the servicing?
This will have a positive bearing on the price you can expect to receive.

I would say $ 1000. 00  less new tires and battery , if they have not been renewed
every thing of rubber may have to be changed, tubes, hoses, belt,.    7 or eight years old,.

I researched the for sale listings, KBB and NADA values for your scooter. . I would ask $1200.00 and settle for $1100.00. Unfortunately, it is just not a well known Kymco model.

What a nice looking little scooter !
It will sell on the weight of your photos presented in advertising it.
I would agree with those above and ask 1,200usd, yet be prepared to accept 10% - 15% less for a cash offer.
May I advise you NOT allow anyone to test ride it unless you have that cash in your hand.

Less than a week ago, a seller showed me his scooter, offered for sale.  In good condition.
He tells me, 'It will not start with the kickstand down'.  So he starts it...
A minute after shutting it off, he dropped the scooter and damaged some of the plastics.
