Title: My Atlantic 500
Post by: MJR on April 24, 2017, 11:10:17 PM
I finally got around to taking some decent photos of the new to me Atlantic 500 I bought last month. It's a 2003 Coast Cyan (sometimes called Coast Blue) color with just under 5,000 miles on it. Looking forward to getting my Dr Pulley sliders and replacing a few left side panels that a previous owner damaged apparently having dropped it on the left side.

Very beautiful scoot, for sure. I love that color. I had a BMW 1200 RT that color. You will get lots of attention every where you ride it, I'm sure. The more heavy the bike the smoother they ride. Ride on bro. in style.

Thanks. The guy was selling it to get something lighter while to me this is much lighter than my other bikes. It is one of the nicest looking maxi scoots I think.

Piaggio?
Pretty scoooter.
Was going to say that I have never seen one.....but then I've  only seen a Kymco, Vespa, Burgman and the odd internet scooters around here.
And three unicorns.

Piaggio owns Aprilia, Motorola Guzzi, and Gilera also. Wanna see a super scoot? Search for the Gilera GP800 or its later sister the Aprilia SRV850.

Dunno how many cylinders a unicorn has but they are only 1hp. Thanks.

Yup a single 459cc engine, a big thumper.

Very pretty color !
And sort of a mix of styling, too !
If it were not for CVT, you certainly would feel a thumper of that size doing it's work through the power band!
I'd expect it is really fun to ride !

We will see how it changes after I install the 26 gram Dr Pulley sliding weights I bought, stock rollers are 28.5 gram.
