I have a 150cc GY6 engine (carburated) in my Lance/SYM PCH, and I usually use 91 octane non-ethanol gas in my 1.3 gallon tank. Through the winter I add Sta-bil to the gas and let it run a few minutes to get it into the entire system. This has worked very well, and my scooter always starts right up each spring.
I plan on adding the Seafoam directly into the tank when I fill up to help clean the carb and maintain the fuel lines. Just wondering how often I should add it to the gas...every fill up? Once a month? Every other month? Every so many miles? I don't want to over-do it, just do it right. Your experience and wisdom is much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't run it anymore I did for a bit bout a cap each tank when I first got the Like but I ran through a tank on it and now on the S9 every day or other day so really no need for anything just clean my carb once every couple months or so.

If you run 91 octane non-ethanol gas and you regularly ride your scooter, you really do not need Seafoam at all. I ride almost daily and I use Seafoam just occasionally. You have no worries.

Thanks, pace and Paul, sounds like I just need to add it a few times per year. Good to know, and thanks for the info.

Seafoam's real intention is to reduce carbon build up in 2 cycle engines. For actual carb cleaning there are better products. If you run a 2 stroke engine then seafoam is the product you need using it a few times thru the year. Best if used right before the end of your riding season.

Using the Sea Foam every fill up is overkill unless you just aren't riding the scooter. Depending on how often you ride, only a couple times a year is good.

I do seafoam maybe 4 times a year.you dont wana over kill.It will eat the rubber gaskets. And use it to store the scoot is ok as long as you go out and start it up a few times.

Thanks for all the good advice, folks. Love this forum!!

On average I pour a shot glass amount in with every 4th tank or so. It depends on my riding habits. When I'm working I tend to use it more often as the scooter sits until the weekends. When I am between assignments and have time on my hands I can burn through a tank or two or three in a week so I don't bother with Seafoam.
