Called around this week to get prices on having a rear tire replaced on my LIKE200i. My home Kymco dealer quoted $100 to do two tires; a local scooter/mc shop refused to work on a "Chinese scooter".
Called a VESPA / VICTORY dealer some 26 miles away - the service tech. said he'd do it for $35, and when I arrived with my new fork bearing - he agreed to install it as well with his press.
I wandered around taking snaps of their Vespas. I never see one - so, I tend to think of them as small scooters - but the long wheelbase models are really impressive....esp. for a LIKE owner!!

Those LWB 300's are real nice. I got two tires and mount and balance for $120. The tire are el cheap-o Shinkos and took the wheels off at home carried them to the Honda shop, still pretty good to get her shod fore and aft.

Those Vespas are beautiful! Real works of art. Unfortunately, real expensive works of art. Yesterday I mounted and balanced the front tire of my Helix using tire spoons and a static balancer. One more tire change and the tools have paid for themselves.

Our most respected long-time owner/mechanic on the Burgman 400 forum just bought a new big Vespa in the U.K.
Poor fellow seems unable to stop raving about its ride and build quality. !!
I think these scoots are capable of providing great $/enjoyment ratio for many, many years.....esp. if properly serviced. He says the servicing will be enjoyable and easy.
With the Fiat receiving the most trouble-prone new car awards ea. year.....it is refreshing to think that there is a well made Italian vehicle in the States.

Beautiful bikes and it's also been my long term dream to have one of these someday too. Unfortunately my time is running out as I plunge into old age. May be a future replacement though for my SW when I decide to downsize from a 550 pound Maxiscooter if it ever feels like it's too big to handle.

Aww, geez, Stig, now I have to clean my keyboard off - drool all over it!
Some day.....some day...... :-\

Especially the 300 s. The problem with Piaggio is they are bad about closing dealerships. The only one within reasonable distance of me close it doors.
If there was a dependable Vespa dealership close to me, I would probably own a 300 Super.
I think they are a work of art.
