Hello!
I have a 2005 Kymco Agility 50.
My top speed is 50 kmph.
I tried everything I found on internet, but my top speed is still the same.
Please help me...
-
..okay, what have you done so far??
peace
-
carb, air and fuel injection into the engine (sorry, I dont know how to explain)
That's everything I can find
-
..have you removed the bushing from the variator//
..have you de-restricted your cdi??
-
I didn't tried that
I was too scared to cut the CDI...
-
..you MUST do those mods...
..should have done them first...
..the cdi thing is easy, and as long as you cut as instructed, there is no danger of hurting it...
..there is nothing below the area that you make the cut...
-
and, how to de-restrict variator?
-
..here is a pic of my cdi..
..it's cut so severely to show that there is nothing there to harm...
..don't do your's like this tho!!
-
I will try tomorow to do these things
My top speed at the moment is 50 kmph.
When I finish all the work....my top speed will be???....your prediction...

..Basic instructions for replacing the boss drive: 1-Remove bolts(8mm socket) from the cvt cover 2-Remove hex nut (17mm socket) from crankshaft 3-Remove outer half of drive pulley(drive pulley face) 4-Remove drive belt from shaft 5-With left your hand, hold inner half of pulley(movable drive face),and with your right hand remove the boss face drive(variator spacer). Be sure that you hold the inner pulley half securely to insure that the roller weights remain in their proper position (they could fall out) 6-Insert new drive boss 7-Install belt 8-Install Pulley half and hex nut..(add a bit of blue Lock-Tite) 9-Install cover...
..enjoy the increase in performance!!!
..if you've installed a free-flow air filter, you also need to increase the size of the main jet in your carburetor..
..with these mods, you should easily get up to 70+ kmh..
-
Thank you very much!!! :)
-
..google youtube for some vids on changing out that boss..
..there's a bunch of them out there...
..and you're quite welcome!!
peace

i have a kymco agility 50 2006 4 stroke what can i do to derestrict it i have been told by a shop that doin the cdi wont make a difference to my scooter will it?
-
Unless you already have a derestricted cdi I think it will. I noticed in a big way, much higher top speed. And on the hills that I'm surrounded by, it's a big help.
-
how do i go about doing it i have seen all the pages on internet about it but they do not instruct well enough? Any help would be much appreciated lol

remove the battery cover and the little black box to the side is the cdi. get an exacto knife, or a blade, or a dremel, something. cut on the end opposite where the wires plug in. its close to the edge of the box, a few mm's down. you will see a small copper wire when you get to it. cut, test ride, enjoy the free speed.
-
if your scoot well do 45 to 50 you are all good .the next best thing would be a bigger bike or a 70 kit.
thats about all you can do.
-
thanks for that n when i get to the copper wire do i cut threw that?
-
...yup...cut about 1/4 inch down...there's nothing there you can hurt....
..all the components are further away from the edge...
..it's just a circuit board encased in plastic and epoxy...
-
Seriously man, i waited a week to do it cause I thought it would be too much. Now I wish I didn't wait. Get a blade and start cutting a v into the end of the cdi. Seriously, you gain speed.
