I have a 2012 125. I changed the drivebelt two years ago. I was wondering how offern they should be changed. It is every year, or
every other year? Thank you.

Depends on the distance... 20k km is enough i believe. But if not broken and within spec width.. it should be ok

Keep in mind that the CVT-drive enclosure may be "ventilated" by Las Vegas summer afternoon 110°F/43°C "convection oven" temperatures. Considering all the downsides of roadside replacement, a 5,000 mile interval (http://www.carolinafunmachines.com/Documents/Maintenance%20Schedule%20-%204-Stroke.pdf) may actually be worthy of consideration.
Hard to believe that this is not a frequent topic of discussion among your scooter group.

Thanks guys. I will do that within the next few weeks. I gotta take care of my car first. I need to change the oil and put some new head lights on my bike.

IMO
Unless you have noticed degrading performance, let it be. Enjoy your riding !
A used part is a proven part.
IF you are planning an extended tour, far away from home, by all means, replace the belt with new and ride it for a week or so, around home so it can prove itself.
Nothing wrong with having a spare in it's plastic bag, hanging up on a nail out in the garage. Price will only go up tomorrow...
