Title: Break Chatter UXV 450i
Post by: jew8201 on February 09, 2017, 12:50:52 AM
When traveling forward, H or L doesn't matter, and applying medium to heavy brake pressure there is a chatter. Only does it when breaking. Is this normal??? Or a concern?? Thanks

Is the rear brake mounted on the driveshaft? If so, then its likely normal. My old Pioneer would make God-awful noises from that set-up.

Mine does it. Learned to ignore it. Seems to get a bit better with miles.

Mine is mostly in reverse and when the rear disc is very dirty. Sounds like hell but seems to be typical in shaft mounted disc brakes. If it get real annoying I just power flush the disc and pads with the garden hose and it goes away for awhile....but it does come back when it gets dirty again
