Title: Upgrade CVT...
Post by: thelastkahl on June 22, 2010, 12:05:36 AM
I am thinking about replacing all or most of the stock parts in the transmission for some performance ones.  I found this kit...Anyone have any advice or recomendations with going with a different brand or even a different direction...Will this make a significant difference?  Worth the price?

..i just put that same kit in my A50..along with 6 gram rollers..kit comes with 9 gr...

..the torque driver did not fit on the shaft, and i had to open it up on a lathe...it had not been machined...

..i had two awesome days after that, then i ran upon a power problem with my A50, that i haven't figured out yet...

..but yes, if you get a good kit..that's been machined properly..and the correct wt rollers..(all these parts are lighter in wt than OEM)...you'll LOVE IT!!!!!

Hey, wordslinger, having mentioned your new cvt, a poor tolerance wouldnt be the source of your problems would it. Might be worth a look?
