Snow came back this morning, but was out riding and taking pictures yesterday. Here are some pictures of where I ride my scooter here in Ohio;

Malt whisky country, Speyside, Scotland. Sometimes, on a nice day, a long ride into the highlands around Loch Ness.

Sounds nice .....all of these places.
As a 18 yr old I walked and hitched Hwy 1 a couple of times - from Ensenada to San Francisco. Man, to do that now, on two wheels , with a camera !! ( just no sun rises over the Pacific )

I have a lot red neck in me but live in a traler park and have to travel a ways to get to the country rds.so I do what I can to get lost in the country then pull out the gps to find my way back home.

I bet that nicely fluted screen is pretty protective?
Looks just the thing for the typical use of this very popular model of  scooter!

It's pretty good. Height-wise, its a touch noisy unless I hunch down a bit (ok for short journeys) or use earplugs (long journeys). And I've gotten away with ordinary winter gloves over and admittedly mild winter.

I actually broke it around the l/h handguard last year when I didn't put the side stand down properly and it fell over, but an interim fix with 2 part epoxy resin has made it as strong as new. I just need to tidy over the multiple cracks and repairs (I'm using matt black outdoor self adhesive this plastic sheeting that I found on ebay for boats I think. Cutting templates has been the longest part of the job so far.

I don't have a pic of the original damage (I was too upset), but if it looks ok, I'll have saved £150 and post a pic here.

At the moment I'm doing some adjustments (i.e filing) to a universal locking fuel filler cap. The original is broken and I've been using a temprorary one for the last 10 months...

I enjoy my rides anywhere there is a road, but my best scooter rides were the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Dragon's Tail. Both on a Silver Wing, which was more than up to the task. For our friends from other lands, who may not know, the Dragons Tail is an eleven miles with 372 turns and several hair pins and is packed with every conceivable type of motor vehicle with Crotch rockets taking the majority. There is 20 to 30 people, at any given time, in area hospitals, during the warm months, from mishaps on the dragon. At the bottom, which is Deal's Gap, there is a very large tree that is completely covered with bike parts taken from bike wrecks on the Dragon. Eleven miles of white knuckle, heart pounding excitement.
