Title: Oil Change S200
Post by: Agent Bob on June 19, 2010, 11:34:28 PM
I'll be doing my 1,000 km oil change myself after the dealer did the first one for the warranty, and I thought I'd use synthetic for both engine and gear box, unless someone knows why I shouldn't. I bought a qt. of Castrol Syntec at $7.73 (OUCH!) and looked at the fine print on the back when I got home and it said "BP Lubricants". (OOPS!). Yet to buy gear oil.

I really wrote though to ask where is the oil strainer on the S200? The manual doesn't show it, and it's location is not obvious where I've looked. Thanks in advance.

Yep, Castrol is owned by BP, unfortunately. Hey, $7 is not bad, I pay $17.50 for 1 litre.

I'm late with this, but many, many thanks for the link to the service manual. I'm blown away with all the info and still need to figure out how to navigate through it and print what I want. Thanks again.
