Hi All
I've complained about this to my dealer and all they said it that this happens to all bikes and scooters, my response to them was this shouldn't happen perion and I want it replaced under warranty, Keep in mind my Yager is roughly 2 months old and garage kept and the dealer is reluctant to do anything. I would like your opinions on what I should do: A-Continue trying to work with the dealer -OR- B-Go straight to the manufacturer.

Not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing, here.
.
-
Oh, is there a picture? I am viewing by mobile phone so dont see pics. Was wondering what the issue was.
-
...all they said it that this happens to all bikes and scooters
Which is of course nonsense.
Looks like inserted under tension and with some bad luck may break .
I'd have looked at the other bikes at the dealers store and let him take a look by himself.

Look into the center of the head lamp, you'll notice some hazing or de-lamination. I believe this is being caused by the heat of halogen lamp.
-
.is the halogen lamp OEM?

.is the halogen lamp OEM?
Yes it is, It's the same one that came with the scooter when I bought it new two months ago.
-
Looks like a defect in materials or workmanship, and your dealer sucks. Time to call the manufacturer.
-
..i agree with A-Bob...
-
Thanks guys, I agree with you and will go to Kymco directly.
BTW nice ride you have there wordslinger. ;)
-
...thanx inferno!!
;D
..i think it's your best bet..mention your posts on this forum when you speak to them...give them the url, even...
..and, i hate to say it, but rat out your dealer too..not sure if that lens cover is laminated, but it should be designed to withstand the heat of the halogen OEM lamp...
peace

Yeah take it from the japanese nurse they know best!!! ha ha ha ;D

Did you buy from Vespa Soho or Carbon Negative in brooklyn?
-
Neither, Prospect cycles.
-
I called Prospect twice about a month and a half ago still waitin on a call back.
As far as the headlight goes I have an 04 vitality and drive through brooklyn every day for about two months now and mine is crystal clear. I had the bright light turned on until 1 week ago, did not realize
it was on but the lens looks brand new. just my 2 cents
-
It's probably just a defective lens. I stopped at Prospect today and told one of the employees I wanted the headlamp lens replaced under warranty and showed him why, he said he has never seen anything like it and took my information saying he will get back to me after he gets in touch with Kymco. We'll see, it definitely pays to talk to several different people at a dealership at different times because this guy wasn't the first guy I spoke with and actually showed some concern.
-
..gotta mention this forum....
-
Good on ya, keep at them. Sometimes you get the impression that they have to take out a second mortgage, but it is all paid for by the manufacturer.
-
Will do wordslinger. ;)
I'm not going to let up until the lens is replaced.

..power to th' people brother!!!
