I swing through downtown most every morning.
I know, same Xmas lights I photograph with my scooter every year....

Folks just opened a new coffee shop down the hill there on the right.
They don't open until 6:30am. They have not yet had the experience of helmeted me in Large Hi Vis come through their door. But soon. I will have to deploy my Broccoli Bands parking brake due to the slope. (there is a bench on the sidewalk, for me.)

Jail and police station is just across the intersection from the coffee shop, so it should be safe enough to loiter at this hour on the bench. Or not. (sheriff recently fired three deputies for ignoring the late night drunk hanging out & urinating in the police lobby. He was an off duty deputy.)

Very festive shots, Stig. You got me laughing with the story of the deputies....ah, life in a small town. Our fire chief just got fired for having two DUIs AFTER getting out of the hospital for running his HD into the back of another car....wait for it....while drunk.
