Title: Scooter parking
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on December 01, 2016, 02:12:53 AM
Found a new place to park my scooter, sit in comfort, bother people on the sidewalk, & keep an eye on things - while I have coffee.

That purple awning across the street is Dino's....he opens at 6:45 am, beating the other 2 coffee shops. I get the "large house with room".

One time, only, I asked for a "large shot in the dark". Which is two espressos in his stiff house blend.
Like Tom Hanks, stuck in the hole in the floor (Money Pit?) - I saw the Care Bears.

Amazing to get another distant ride this winter, in my spring mesh jacket (liner, 2 shirts & balaclava, heated gloves, kevlar jeans ans boots - Still not as bundled as normal for last day of November in Ohio)
I love this little town. You can see split window VW buses and new Bentleys - and folks just as varied, all getting along just fine.
Ride safe folks.

Do you have an extension cord  between you and the bike?

Karl

You mean to the heated gloves?
No, those have their batteries in the cuff. I turn them off and put under the seat while parked....unless a very cold day.
On the coldest days i have to get going again after an hour or so. 3 hours in the cold is plenty some days. Otherwise I  can sit and read scooter forums half the morning!
