Starter is spinning but bendix is not enhancing fly wheel

Any suggestions it worked this morning but now just spins

Here is better video I'm trying to figure out do I need a bendix or starter. Also the bushing in this video on the belt side were the bendix tip goes is warped I can see it in video. 'My bendix doesn't sit up right and I have a hard time getting cvt on

In the large photo, the starter gear should be engaged with the fine-tooth gear on the bendix assembly.  Your photo doesn't show that.  There's a gap between the gears when they should be engaged.  I can't give any more suggestions at this distance.  For instance, are the starter attach bolts fully tightened? Is it the correct starter? etc :-(
