Title: Oil Service Light on after service
Post by: ScooterBroGuy on September 30, 2016, 10:44:29 AM
Hey,

So i did the service on my Downtown 300i
New transmission oil, New engine oil.
double checked oil levels etc and now this lights still on.

So my question is, When the scooter is serviced at a dealer, does it have some countdown timer etc that sets off the oil service light?

Thanks

Yep, there is.
Press the right hand button of the three,
The oil change mileage is the one after "trip B",
Once on it, press and hold left and right buttons together, This will reset the oil change light to zero.
Oil change light comes on at 3000 miles.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Don.

My Burgman has a way to set oil change mileage reminders  .....but that is too much to figure out.
I write all service items in my scoot's factory manual.

The 24-hour (military time) is what you get on the DT300i. Ya can't change it to am-pm.

Karl,
The clock has been blinking on my VCR for 19 years. Any tips?
(no, can't check the manual - dog ate it in the late 90's)
(the servo blinking non-stop like that for nearly 2 decades was made by Rolex)
