Does the Xciting 500 share the same drive belt as the Downtown 300 ?
And if it isn't would a Downtown 300 belt last 3000 miles running between 60 and 80 mph and nothing less ?

I checked the part numbers for the two belts.
The part numbers are not at all similar.
No idea if you can blow up a 300 belt at 80 in 3,000 miles.
Large Alice tried something similar (with a weed-eater powered hang glider) ...last sighted over Tungsten, CO. in May.
How about 45 on an aircooled 163cc LIKE?

The reason I'm asking is that I destroyed one at 2500 miles at around that speed.
Strokes chin.
Thank you.

Yes,, well Kymco wisely governed the LIKE200I's top speed so that (like the 1971 Beetle) the top speed and cruising speed are the same. Nothing explodes. (but if you're a tall fellow. ...the LIKE's seat will have killed you before you get out of whatever State you started in..)
I think it was 73mph in the Kafer and should be right around 53mph on the LIKE.
Set the cruise, then recline the seat until you see Grand Junction ahead. Stop for a pee, a Moon Pie, and refuel.

Lucky I'm only 5ft 8in so everything just flips right over my head.
Talking of seats - the worst one of all belongs to the Honda NC700 which is worse than sitting on a wooden bench.
I lasted an hour and a half then had to get off. It was agony.
No such problems with the Downtown.
